Use the Inc. 500 for Job Hunting

By Stuart Schultz

As I mentioned in August, when it comes to finding a job in this tough economy, sometimes it's easier to turn to smaller companies that are less bureaucratic in their hiring practices and more likely to speak to a grad who just picks up a phone and gives them a ring. The difficulty is in actually finding these successful, private, small companies. Lucky for you, Inc. magazine just published their 2009 Inc. 500, a list of the 5000 (yes, even thought it was started as the 500 it now lists 5000) fastest growing small businesses in America. That looks like 5000 job opportunities to me.

Why do we seek for jobs? Because of money isn't it? Had you think of the Veteran's who had retire without giving their retirement benefits. Veteran's Day – what to do on this holiday commemorating those who have served? Well, those people that have Veteran's Day are likely going to be watching TV. The evening programming on the major networks will be the same midweek lineup that has been performing well – which means a lot of people are going to be tuning in to watch Glee. Top Chef is also on Bravo, so if you like a competitive cooking show which has little to do with what working life in a restaurant is like – go ahead. Some of the Veteran's Day episodes might be so good some online payday loans for the season DVD's might be well spent.

And what can you advise when choosing professional resume services?
