I'm new to this forum. I've been looking for entry level jobs, and I found a great website that some others may be interested it. www.EmploymentCrossing.com It has a great listing of jobs. From someone who's been out there looking for a while, it's the first place I check for new jobs.
Surprisingly, yes. However, to do so, there are a few rules to follow. First - always give at least two weeks notice. The more time you can provide them with, the better (it provides them with time to find a replacement, or enables you to train the person who may be filling your shoes). Second - make sure to tell the people who it will impact most (such as a staffer, your boss, etc.), first. No one ever wants to be the last to learn about something. Third - and finally, make sure not to say that you're leaving for a better place - remember, it's a "different" place. And in summary, keep in mind that for the most part, people want other people to be successful in life - and thus, they'll support your choice. If they don't support your choice and are being jerks - then they didn't care about you anyway, wouldn't have helped you in the future, and just don't matter.
Good luck with taking the next step in your career, whatever it may be!
