I thought that you and visitors to Grad Spot would be
interested in hearing advice from a few of Big Think's recent interviewees. We have been asking business moguls for their advice and insights.

For example, Clifford Schorer, the current Entrepreneur in Residence at Columbia University's School of Business, gives tips on starting a small business. He reminds us that while anyone can have a great idea, you must provide proof that you have a plan for execution, and that the market is interested.

His recommendation to tech entrepreneurs is to ask the question “What’s the quickest way to market that has the best return on investment?”

Another expert, George Jones, the president and CEO of Borders Group, Inc. responds to the question "Do you have to go to business school to be a CEO?"

He has learned the most important factor in becoming a leader is to surround yourself with talented people.

When asked "What makes a good leader?" Nina De Sesa, the Chairman of McCann Erickson, immediately answers "decisiveness." She then goes on to explain that leaders must also be compassionate in order to motivate passion.
